Annual Organic Chemistry BBQ

Each year, the Organic Students end their year of hard work and diligence by attending a BBQ thrown in their honor. The BBQ give the students time to reflect upon what they have done, and what they have yet to do. As always, the BBQ features food for all, good conversation, and ORGANIC CHEMISTRY!! This year's BBQ was held on May 1st, giving the students an event where they could relax before finals begin.

Setup is essential and, with the help of these two tireless folk, the job was well done. The only thing better today than volleyball would be running some experiments in the lab!! Multiple activities overtook the early portion of the afternoon, which is what we love about BBQ.
After the food was cooked, condiments were in high demand! After lunch, relaxation and conversation was the rule for a while. Not enjoying the non-chemical talk of the other group, these folks settled in for a nice chat on molecular orbital theory.
A game of boche was started. This group decided volleyball was a better activity. More possibility of injury!! The game began in a nice, social manner.
Thank you for all the hard work students, it is greatly appreciated!!!
The game quickly became competitive, but still remained fun.
