Summary: Mark Franklin is the John R. Reitemeyer Professor
Emeritus of International Politics at Trinity College in Hartford,
Connecticut. In September 2006 he moved to the European University Institute
in Florence where became the first holder of the Stein Rokkan Chair in
Comparative Politics. A past Guggenheim Fellow and Fulbright Scholar, he
founded the Public Opinion and Participation Section of the European Union
Studies Association and is a Director of the European Elections Studies
