RELG 205: The Emergence of Judaism
Special Issues and Requirements, Course Policies

Students are required to take a mid-term exam (scheduled for Tuesday, October 26; worth 20% of the course grade) and a regularly scheduled final exam (scheduled Thursday, December 16, 9:00 am; worth 30% of course grade). Furthermore, each student will be reqired to lead a 20 minute discussion on a class reading, beginning with the Oral Law unit (worth 20%).  Also, students are required to write a 10-15 page research paper on Talmudic Judaism (either religion, history, textual study, or culture; worth 30%) due the last day of class.  All course requirements must be completed on time for a passing grade, in accor­dance with the regulations as stated in the Student Handbook.
