Jewish Studies 206: The Arab-Israeli Conflict

An examination of the dynamics of the Arab/Israeli conflict, from Ottoman
times until the present day. The course will focus on the changing interests
and positions of the parties involved: the Zionists (and the state of Israel),
the Palestinians (and the Palestinian National Authority & Hamas), the Arab states and the important
international players. The course will also explore the internal workings and
conflicts within the major camps, and between the various parties.
