Brief Biography:
Born on 7th June, 1973 in the Queen Elizabeth
II Hospital, Edgbaston (nr Birmingham), England. I lived in Edgbaston
for the first two years of my life, but as I was only capable of drooling
and flicking apple sauce across the kitchen, I don't remember much.
In June of 1975, my family moved to Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire, where we lived until 1981 (November 30th to be precise). My father took a new job in Geneva, Switzerland. While living in Geneva, I learned to ski and attended the Geneva International School.
On June 30th, 1985, my family made its current move, to Andover, Massachusetts, USA. This was due to a re-organisation at my father's company. I finished off my schooling there, first at Andover West Junior High School (now known as Andover West Middle School), and got my High Schooling at Andover High School. (Not Philips Andover, I ain't that smart).
Trinity College provided my college schooling. I graduated Trinity College in 1995 with a double major B.A. in CS and Math. There are many stories to tell, but I can't be bothered to expand this paragraph right now. I do highly recommend it and will put a link to their admissions page here.
Upon graduating Trinity I took a job with Keane. They're a remarkable successful consulting company and offer excellent opportunities to recent graduates. (Remember this was written in August 98 when the Technology sector couldn't keep its system jobs staffed). Click here to check them out.
Unfortunately, I enjoyed my first assignment with Fidelity so much, I stayed there as a full timer. Fidelity is notorious for moving us kids around the various buildings. Click here to see how much fun I've had. On the subject of moving, Fidelity annouced it was moving its Institutional Services to a site in Rhode Island, from Boston and Marlborough, Mass. Well this posed a problem for myself, as I was particularly keen on living in Andover. The solution was simple and very gracious on Fidelity's part. I have a mid-week residence now in North Providene, RI, and a telecommuting station in Andover, for Mondays and/or Fridays. Isn't that a nice company?
The final chapter (so far) is that on a training course in San Diego in October, 1997, I met my darling fiancee Lisa. She's the best thing since they put those bits of string on tea bags so you don't burn your fingers fishing them out.
