Ingrid Jordt is an assistant professor of anthropology at the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, and author of Burma’s Mass Lay Meditation Movement: Buddhism and the Cultural Construction of Power.

Frank Kirkpatrick is Ellsworth Morton Tracy Lecturer and professor of religion at Trinity College. He is an Episcopal priest.
